The National Science Policy Network (NSPN) is partnering with UCR SPEAKS to extend the reach of its science policy-focused curriculum by providing SPEAKS trainees with valuable additional training and networking opportunities. NSPN’s mission is to empower the next generation of STEM policy leaders by offering training resources, and platforms to engage meaningfully with policymakers and the public. Through this collaboration, NSPN and SPEAKS aim to foster a diverse and inclusive science policy community, enrich policy decisions with scientific evidence and diverse perspectives, and support early-career scientists in making impactful contributions to society.

Blackstone Research & Evaluation serves as the external evaluator for the SPEAKS project. Utilizing customized evaluation instruments, Blackstone provides statistical analysis which synthesizes data into actionable feedback and strategic insights. Blackstone provides narrative reports based upon the data which articulate accomplishments, offer recommendations to achieve desired outcomes, and highlight the impact of the SPEAKS program.
