This year’s conference will examine the current public policy conditions under which solar operates, with an emphasis on creating pathways for increased deployment throughout Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Overall, the purpose is to establish the region as “Solar Valley,” a model of a green energy economy.
The conference will focus on what decision-makers are thinking and planning, and how we can coordinate as an industry to get more done. Senior officials from the state, the counties, and cities will discuss their initiatives. The conference will be a place where we, as stakeholders, can work together on a coordinated push to transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
The conference will also be used to identify additional members for the SC-RISE Solar Valley Consortium (SRSVC). The purpose of the SRSVC is to boost the deployment of solar power throughout Inland Southern California, and to build a clean green economy based on sustainable local resources.
Key technologies and industry trends will be identified and we will focus on regulations and taxes and how they are impacting the industry. In addition we will quantify the benefits that accrue from solar.
