The 14th Annual International OSAR Conference is scheduled for April 17th & 18th, 2025, in Riverside, California.
This workshop’s theme, The Role of Onboard Sensing and Emissions Reduction in Moving Towards a Sustainable Transportation Future, will focus on a wide range of measurement systems and activity measurements, as well as measurements of less traditional sources and how they can be used to facilitate a better transition to a sustainable transportation sector. In an era where climate change and sustainability are becoming the issues that will define our generation, it is important that the viability of different transportation solutions can be evaluated and validated. This is particularly true when these solutions will be utilized to achieve local air quality goals, but also when topics such as economic viability and scale are considered. Our theme message revolves around the need to understand the effectiveness of a wide range of sustainable transportation strategies that might be implemented in a wide range of applications and the key role that onboard sensing technology can play in driving positive changes. We are committed to championing sustainable transportation solutions, with a focus on onboard sensing, as a powerful tool for emissions and energy use quantification and informing data-driven policies. Onboard sensing technology, as well as traditional portable measurement and modeling tools, can help create a more sustainable and prosperous world for all today and for generations to come.
