of energy research, innovation, and academic exchange.

Located in southeastern Turkey, Batman University is the country’s only higher education institution fully specialized in energy. The university’s mission emphasizes applied research, technology development, and the advancement of sustainable energy systems. During his visit, Professor Demir met with CE-CERT leadership to discuss shared interests in clean energy, transportation systems, and opportunities for future engagement.

“Batman University aims to collaborate with leading universities and research centers worldwide in the field of energy. I see UCR CE-CERT as a highly successful institution and a great opportunity for collaboration,” said Prof. Demir.

He also noted that a joint team will be formed with CE-CERT to pursue future initiatives in research projects, patents, conferences, and scientific publications focused on energy challenges and innovations.

The visit included a tour of CE-CERT’s laboratories and discussions around potential areas for joint research proposals, graduate-level exchange, and innovation partnerships.

While exploratory in nature, the visit marked an important first step in identifying shared goals and future avenues for academic cooperation between the two institutions.
