Dr. Abhilash Vijayan, Vice President and Air Quality Practice Area Leader at Sonoma Technology and Spheros Environmental, will give a seminar on Monday, May 19th, entitled: Designing Integrated Methane Monitoring Platforms for the Oil and Gas Sector.

Abstract: This presentation will discuss results from a U.S. Department of Energy-funded project to inform the design of integrated methane monitoring platform plans for the oil and gas sector.  The project was designed to evaluate the strengths, limitations, and complementarity of different measurement tiers and systems, such as satellites, aircrafts, drones, ground-based mobile platforms, fenceline measurement systems, and other handheld systems for emission event detection, source identification, and quantification of methane emissions from oil and gas facilities.  The project was led by Sonoma Technology, in collaboration with experts from GHGSat, Scientific Aviation, ChampionX, FluxSense, SeekOps, and Kern Energy.
