The 13th Annual International OSAR Conference

The 13th Annual International OSAR Conference convened on March 14th and 15th, 2024, at the California Air Resources Board (CARB), bringing together 150 attendees from 10 countries and 47 organizations.

This year's theme, 'Driving Change for Cleaner Air: On-Board Sensing and Emissions Reduction in Disadvantaged Communities,' focused on mitigating emissions and emphasized the pivotal role of onboard sensing technology. Amidst thriving commerce and industry, there is a need to address environmental and social inequities in disadvantaged communities, particularly those related to trucks and warehousing operations. The workshop highlighted the importance of both on-board sensing technology and traditional portable measurement and modeling tools as essential allies in the ongoing journey to monitor, regulate, and reduce emissions.

Overall, OSAR 2024 brought together a community committed to creating a more equitable, sustainable, and innovative world, emphasizing collective efforts for cleaner air today, and for future generations.
