CE-CERT is honored to have Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis tour our facilities last Friday, June 17th. Our researchers took her through CE-CERT’s iconic Atmospheric Processes Lab (APL) Chamber, the Heavy-Duty Chassis Dynamometer (HCDL) Lab, Transportation Systems Research (TSR) Lab, and the Sustainable Integrated Grid Initiative (SIGI) battery trailer. Lt. Governor Kounalakis was able to chat with students about their research, from measuring air quality to analyzing the operations of microgrid systems. We hope to have her support in developing key technologies that will improve our state’s environment, health, mobility and economics.
