September 19th, 2019, CE-CERT proudly hosted one of two StratosShare Launch Events in the city of Riverside. StratosShare is an on-demand car rental company that rents hydrogen-electric vehicles by the hour or day through a smartphone app. The event hosted industry speakers from the State of California Energy Commission, Commissioner Patty Monahan, San Bernardino City Council, Ce-CERT Director, Matt Barth, Toyota Motor Corp, and many others on how hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are playing a major role in decarbonizing transportation. StratosShare is the first company in the USA to release an app where you can rent hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Toyota is partnered with Startoshare by providing the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, Toyota Mira to this fleet, brining an affordable ride share option to low income areas.
