The UCR Solar Valley Consortium is announcing two new webinars focused on Land Availability: Barriers and Solutions to Solar and Storage in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The counties have an important role to play in the rollout of utility-scale solar energy and energy storage in California. These webinars will address one of solar deployment’s most pressing challenges.
The first Webinar is scheduled for November 10th from 8-9:30AM and is focused on San Bernardino County. The second is scheduled on December 8th from 8-9:30AM (Pacific TIme) and is focused on Riverside County.
Moderated by V. John White and with opening remarks from Solar Consortium Co-Chair Ron Loveridge, these sessions will examine problems in state and county regulatory systems used to govern the installation of solar and energy storage.
The webinars include panelists from the two counties, Southern California Edison, Bureau of Land Management, California Energy Commission, and from major solar industry firms. These experts will identify major barriers to the increased deployment of solar and energy storage and will discuss potential solutions to such barriers.
