CE-CERT’s Connected Vehicle Fleets demonstrate successful integration of intermittent renewable energy through electric and hybrid electric vehicles and electric charging stations. Researchers conduct energy monitoring and smart dispatch studies while also providing faculty and students with innovative means of transportation.


  • Nissan Leaf Electric Vehicles (EVs)

    (Two) Light Duty Electric Vehicle platforms for V2G and related smart charging projects. Monitoring vehicle activity and related energy profiles.

  • Nissan Altima

    Connected passenger car sensor testbed with forward-facing radar and on-board computer.

  • Trolley

    Zero-carbon, pure electric transit vehicle with capacity for 20+ passengers. This transit is capable of 100kW V2G operations. Utilized for campus special event transit and customer side of the of meter grid support services.
