Senior Development Engineer
Domingo B. Castillo, Jr. has worked in electronic, electro-mechanical and high-vacuum technology fields since 1986. Mr. Castillo was employed at Wyle Laboratories as a Senior Instrumentation Technician from 1990 to 1992. There, he developed and maintained instrumentation of cryogenic test systems for General Dynamics' Atlas-Centaur Launch Vehicle. His responsibilities there included maintenance, calibration, and repair of electronic instrumentation, cryogenic fluid systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems. Previously, Mr. Castillo worked as a maintenance mechanic at Sony Manufacturing of America, where he overhauled, modified and performed troubleshooting functions for high-vacuum systems used in the development of aluminizing processes for cathode-ray tubes. From 1986 to 1988 Mr. Castillo was employed by Helium Leak Testing, Inc., where he operated, maintained and repaired mass spectrometer leak detectors. His experience includes work with various vacuum systems up to and including ultra-vacuum diffusion technology. He also has considerable experience with cryogenic liquids, including hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen, and high-pressure liquid and gas fluid systems.
